"What? No. You can't be serious."

Valkyrie shook her head madly in disagreement. Fletcher just shook his head. "I'm sorry, Val," he said, "but this must be done. It's a once in a lifetime chance to be there. It's hard to get." He was carrying a black suitcase and a backpack with a cap -surprisingly- on his head.
"I thought you said this is what's best for us," Tanith said flatly.
"If it's all of us!"
"Just accept the fact, Val," mumbled Skulduggery.
Valkyrie's eyes swelled in tears. This isn't the first time she had to say goodbye. But she had a feeling this was going to be the last. China's beautiful pale blue eyes gazed at hers sadly. "It's not forever Val. We promise. And I don't usually make promises I can't keep," the woman lied, as if reading Valkyrie's mind.

Valkyrie wiped her tears on her right sleeve. "But..B-but.. Why can't I go with you? Why can't I go with all of you?" Ghastly patted her shoulder warmly. "It's because you, my stubborn friend, asked for it," he muttered. Valkyrie huffed heavily. "It's just.. I never knew only one of us will be picked to go for the war," she said.

Skulduggery stepped up and hugged her, then spoke one final word.
"Go."

Valkyrie waved goodbye just before Fletcher touched her and they vanished into thin air.

Makes no sense I know. I just need to get a hang on writing all over again...
